Author’s Note: I wrote this just after finishing Percy Jackson and Olympians and before reading Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo so there may be some things that are different in this to those, because I haven’t finished reading the books. Also, this doesn’t really follow any time in the actual timeline. Finally, this uses characters, places, things, and ideas from Rick Riordan’s imagination.
Chapter 3
I was terrified.
But to my surprise, Chiron and River were as calm as could be. Out of nowhere, Chiron had a bow with a few arrows on his back, and River had some kind of Pan pipe. I had nothing, just the Band-Aid that I was given. I looked down at it and sighed. Then I saw writing on the back: Open when I am needed to save. I opened and a long bronze sword hilt came out. I grabbed it and took my place in front of the Sphinx.
