Mrs. Broste is a beloved and valued teacher at our school. We all know and love her, so here’s an inside glimpse into her life outside of school.
Growing up, several members of Mrs. Broste’s family were educators, so she was always immersed in that environment. She grew up in Santa Cruz California and went to University of California and Cal State. She ended up getting a degree in art. However, as we all know, she ended up teaching the broad subject of family consumer sciences subjects instead. She did a lot of sewing and was pondering entering culinary school. A fun fact about Mrs. Broste that you probably didn’t know is that she spent every summer in Yosemite National Park during her childhood.
Now Mrs. Broste is here at Webber teaching numerous classes and a wide range of subjects. At home she has a husband, two daughters, and two dogs, named Louis and Tilly. She says that simultaneously the most challenging and the best part of teaching is her students!
Now whenever you have Mrs. Broste’s class or you see her in the halls, you’ll know a little more about her!
