Welcome to Webber! I hope you all enjoyed the open house for Webber and consider sending your current fifth graders here next year.
My name is Hazel, and I’m a seventh grader here at Webber and one of the two editors for Webber’s newspaper you are currently reading, The Webber Weekly. Webber is a very fun and inclusive environment for any kind of kid. We have great teachers, fun clubs, and great extracurricular activities!
You can join Newspaper club with Miss Young, print a dragon in 3D Modeling and Design, or play a fun instrument in the band. Here at Webber, you can even reach out to teachers and ask if they can help you start your own club for your own interests or hobbies (Ex: Anime club, guitar club, military club)!
With more than 700 students here at Webber, there are so many opportunities for new friends, as well! I hope all you fifth graders liked Webber, and I hope to see some of you here next year! Webber may seem big and intimidating at first, but once you get to know these halls, they feel more comfortable than before.
Into sports? Great! Webber has many different sports to choose from, like wrestling, basketball, volleyball, and much more. We host many events every year, like fundraisers, sports games, and even a Webber Night Out!
Now, you can’t forget about Webber Wednesday! Wear red or Webber gear each week on Wednesday for a chance to win 10 Panther Bucks, and 10 dollars! If the selected person isn’t wearing red or Webber gear, then it goes up by 10 whole dollars until someone earns it the following week! You can use your Panther Bucks during 7th period each Wednesday and buy candy, T-shirts, fidgets, and more!
I hope to see some of you here next year, and that you become part of our Webber family! Go Panthers!
-Hazel, 7th grader and editor for The Webber Weekly
