Have you ever seen or read Coraline? Well I have and it’s great! This is the story of a girl who just moved from Pontiac, Michigan to Ashland, Oregon. When she moves into this house, she finds a small door that is covered by wallpaper. Her mom opens it, but there is nothing but brick. That very same night she goes to bed and leaves her door cracked. She is woken up by mice and finds that the little door is no longer bricked up. She goes through the tunnel and finds a world just like hers, but better! There are better parents and better neighbors, but are they really!? Well I’ll let you find out on your own. Once you watch it, you will find yourself going back again and again to find little details. This movie is directed by Henry Selick, the same man who worked on one of my favorites, The Nightmare before Christmas! Neil Gaiman wrote the book Coraline (I haven’t read it, but I can’t wait to!) and also worked on the movie. This helped to add a personal touch and truth to the movie. There are so many little details that you can never stop finding. This is the greatest movie I have ever watched, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
