This is the second part of my (How To Be in the U.S. Military series! Be sure to check out the other article on The Webber Weekly!
Anyways, to Enlist in the USAF (U.S. Air Force), you need to know the ranks:
Airman Basic *no insignia*
Airman
Airman First Class
Senior Airman
Staff Sergeant
Technical Sergeant
Master Sergeant (My dad was this rank when he retired!)
Senior Master Sergeant
Chief Master Sergeant
Chief Master Sergeant of the USAF
Next, here are the requirements to enlist in the Air Force:
- You unfortunately can’t have any medical issues/disorders (asthma, etc)/
- You must be 18 to join (unless your parents sign some special papers that let you join at 17).
- If you are older than 42, you can’t join.
I am sorry I didn’t include all of the requirements above in Part One, but these go for being an officer, too. In case you don’t know what an Officer is, you can read my other article in the newspaper.
