Sob sob sob
“Oh is the pink haired weakling gonna cry even more?” Akito mocked.
“You care to get even more hurt?” Tusaka joked. Yumi spun around to see her kindergarten bullies; Akito and Tusaka seeming to hurt another young girl. Yumi jumped in front of the girl, unable to see if she was hurt or not.
“Don’t you DARE try to hurt another person, you jerks!” Yumi exclaimed. At first the boys looked startled, but got serious again.
“And what are you going to do about it? Nibble our ankles?” Tsukasa laughed.
“No…I know where you boys live…” Yumi said suspiciously.
“So?” Akito chimed in.
“So I’ll tell your parents about how you are hurting innocent little girls and how you stole from the candy store downtown, how you pick pocket strangers for a living, and how you use each other’s mothers credit cards daily.” Yumi said with a smirk plastered on her face.
“Okay, fine! But this isn’t over, you hear me?!” Akito yelled.
“No it isn’t, not for you…” Yumi said as the boys ran away. Yumi began to turn around to see the girl. “Are you Oka-” Yumi cut herself off as a look of horror spread across her face. The girl had one of her arms bent the completely wrong way, as well as a few of her fingers and one of her legs bent as well. But the most noticeable part was her head. There seemed to be something that looked a lot like a giant fork stabbed into her head. Blood ran down through her pink bangs.
“Oh my god…Did…Did the boys do this to you…?” Yumi asked in a shaky voice. The girl nodded. Yumi ripped off one of her sleeves to her sweater and pressed it gently against the girl’s forehead. “Come on, do you think that I can carry you on my back?” Yumi asked softly.
“Y-yes…”
“Okay then, grab onto me with your free arm, okay?”
“Yes…Thank…Y-You…” The girl said shakily.
“Alright…” Yumi sighed, trying to keep calm. She carried the girl on her back and ran as quickly as she could, but carefully enough so that the girl would not fall off. It was about 10 minutes after school was out. She ran to a woman with a badge from the school. “Hey! Let us into the school right now!!” Yumi shouted. “I have an injured kid on me!”
“Oh dear, I’m sorry. I don’t exactly…believe you…” The woman said.
“How could you not believe me?!” Yumi yelled.
“Well, you see, I am the main teacher for the blind group of kids that come every 3 days…”
“So?!” Yumi asked irritatedly.
“I’m blind as well… So you may just be playing a prank…” the woman said.
“You know what? Screw it. This could’ve been done already.” Yumi set the girl on the ground. “What’s your name?” Yumi asked in a comforting tone so that the girl would not notice her hand slowly going up to the giant fork-like thing in the girl’s head.
“Emu…” The girl said softly.
“Emu…How nice…This may hurt a tad bit but you just have to breathe…” Yumi spoke reassuringly.
“Wh-what?…” Emu asked nervously.
“Just… Close your eyes if you have to…” Yumi said as she gripped the fork and ripped it out of Emu’s head. Emu screamed as loud as she could. “Just a bit more…” Yumi winced at the scream. Before Emu could stop, Yumi bent her arm back where it was supposed to be. She did the same for her fingers and leg. Emu screamed more than she ever could again. She gasped for air and suddenly stopped.
“I-I’m okay now…“ Emu muttered.
“That’s good. I’ll find a doctor as soon as possible.” Yumi sighed.
