Do you want to know the percentage of people that actually recycle? The actual percentage will drive you crazy! Ready? I don’t think you’re ready! Okay, ready? The percentage of people who actually recycle is…32%! The reason why the percentage isn’t higher is because so many people just forget. Have you ever had a plastic water bottle, soda bottle, etc., and you just forgot to recycle it? Another reason why the percentage is so low is that some people don’t actually know what can be recycled and what can’t. Those people that don’t know what can be recycled end up recycling items such as plastic straws, and take-out containers, which actually can’t be recycled.
