Staff writer Sammi Chinski interviewed members of Webber’s Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) club about their experiences and why they enjoy the club.
Club member Flint said, “It’s fun and that you get to play D&D club. The club is where you play the game dungeons and dragons.”
Another club member Natasha said, “You get to explore new places that are made up and pretend that it’s real. In D&D club, you use dice and paper with pencils as well. D& D is fun with groups and you have a Dragon master in every single group.”
Mrs. Broste, the D&D club advisor and teacher at Webber, shared her thoughts on why she advises the club, “I wanted to have a time and place for students to be creative and collaborate on their Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. Students work on creative problem solving, story telling, and make friends along the way.”
Braydon, another club member, also said, “It’s fun and you are creative.”
“Nerds make a game that only exists on paper and a few minds. A game master makes up a story that requires the player to use problem solving skills to navigate a solution. We use dice to find how well something plays out. All in all, it is a fun way to blend creativity and math,” explained club member, Liam Brooks.

Sounds great! As a DnD member myself it makes me slime to be getting more attention for our club!
