This week’s wisdom of the week is a very inspirational quote attributed to the legendary Chinese philosopher Laozi, also known as Lao Tzu.
“Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power,” Laozi.
This quote represents that true power comes from discipline, self-control, and personal growth, rather than from controlling other people and manipulating them.
Remember, if you see someone trying to control someone else, it’s only because that is their only grounding point. They are unable to control their emotions and controlling someone else is their only way of feeling in power. And if you are quiet and know how to deal with how you feel, you are the one who is more grounded and has more power. The only thing other people know how to do is control others and that can either be good for them or not.
